I keep seeing "highest-ever" cost, penalty, spending, etc as if it means something. Do the people using this phrase not understand inflation?

that's the thing - neither of us can say (since we weren't there) and the people who were there were under the influence.
The guy that texted about free pussy is disgusting but drunkenness doesn't preclude texting - and by all accounts (including her own) she consented to a lot of what happened that night, guys stopped at least in some of the moments when she said no, and the missing pieces seem lost in a haze of drugs and alcohol.
Afterwards she literally said that nothing illegal happened and that she'd be up for it again but with fewer guys, and then she tried to go the next party and was banned.
There may well have been immoral things that happened that night ("free pussy" 🤢), but throwing someone in a cage for the charge of rape - or doxxing all seven boys before they've even been charged - should require a very high bar.

I totally agree with this but remember that the question of rape is a legal one, and that's a higher bar than human decency.
In any case, do you consider Jane Doe a rapist for having sex with heavily intoxicated boys in the fraternity?
(How do we parse this situation when you have a lot of young people who were voluntarily intoxicated with alcohol and ketamine?)

I think there's some conflation happening here
Being comfortable in the world does not mean being under the illusion that it is always a safe place.
(If it were my daughter walking naked and drunk into a party I would wonder where I had gone wrong. If she were raped at that party, I would want the rapist(s) to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law - but I would also wonder how I had failed to teach her basic agency and self preservation.)

I don't think anything will fix greed! and actually I don't think a decentralized currency helps everything. Many humans are terrific, some are truly horrible. I just think it gives decentralized money gives a much better foundation for society.

You and I agree about so much! But to me the problem here is that the state - with its incredible power to coerce the people - is incentivizing certain behavior in the pharma companies. That same behavior in pharma without protection and subsidy and threat from the govt? zero profit
Business + coercion is a dangerous combination.
Business by itself can be good or bad, but it has a natural check on its power. Without coercion, products have to actually be of value to people.
My solution would be to get govt out of bed with pharma (not that I think that's going to happen...).

The incentives in this case is that doctors will be more likely to fill out VAERS reports, and arguably could fill out unnecessary reports just for the extra cash.
The other incentives regarding vaccines in the medical system I know that you're well aware of: state actors often getting hired by the pharma companies that they're supposed to be regulating, such that their job in - say - the FDA is kind of an interview for future position in pharma; insurance companies giving bonuses to pediatricians who has x% of children fully vaccinated in their practices... it's a long list, but I think you know it well!

What are the chances that jab lovers will suddenly discover the concept of incentives when it comes to the medical system?

But still might do some good. We have some true believers (even on Nostr) that will never see it, but it might be useful if any of you have some friends or family who haven't drunk the whole glass of KoolAid.

Even as it is now, whenever I use AI to dig down into some details about - say - vaccine safety, the starting point is a blanket "safe and effective" with study links. When I ask it to evaluate the studies - according to weaknesses that I happen to know about - it starts to say things like "yes, there are in fact issues here" and to give me better information, and by the end of the exchange, I'm getting something closer to the truth. But you have to know what to ask and where the study weaknesses are.
If a normie asks if vaccines are risky, or if MK Ultra could still be going on, or if OK City bombing is questionable... the answer is always going to be a definitive no, and most people don't know enough or care enough to dig deeper.
With explicit state control... yikes, it just gets worse.

What are the changes you've noticed?
(super cool! I'm starting to realize that the ppl warning that women can't fast as well as men might be right 😢 so fasting is off the table for me right now, but I love hearing about it. I think the body has incredible ability to repair when left to its own devices.)

@nprofile…z505 ^ connects to the exchanges we've had about vaccines. Almost no one realizes this fact, and none of your media will have pointed it out.

2026-09-09 20:25:13 UTC

There was so much craziness re Covid, but one thing with profound implications for everything around the vaccine was the timing of someone being considered "vaccinated."
For the mRNA jabs, you weren't considered fully vaccinated until 2 weeks after your second shot.
Most side effects are concentrated in the days immediately after vaccination, so all thing things that happened in that window
- covid cases
- covid deaths
- strokes
- heart attacks
- (etc)
were attributed to someone being unvaccinated (or partially vaccinated).
It's hard to overstate the effect of this on the statistics around the effectiveness of the shots. Basically most of negative effects of the shots are falsely attributed to the lack of them.

Once a week per muscle group? I've finally gotten back to some of my workouts, and I have kettlebells in there 2x/week (along with some bodyweight like pushups). With the bells I do some swings, then deadlifts, bulgarian split squats (35lb), cossack squats, some upper body work (20 lb). I've been considering splitting them by upper/lower so that each of those gets once/week, which sounds like what you're suggesting?

It's great to have a variety of ways to carry the baby without always needing bulky. Stretchy slings in particular allow for a variety of hold, can adapt as the baby grows, and keeps her snug against the parent so that she can be part of everyday movement and activity, which is great for the parents and the child.
I don't know what's on the market today but I bet there are some decent materials available.
