Early 2000s piracy gave a whole generation its first real taste of a permissionless internet. Chaotic, free, and beautifully uncontrollable.
We used to download things from complete strangers, share everything, and give zero fucks about permission. Today we rent access to everything through corporate platforms and call it progress.
I'm glad I experienced the wild internet before it was domesticated. My favorite client was Czech-made StrongDC++, what was yours?

If we don't use AI to destroy governments, they will soon destroy us using AI.

Having thousands of followers taught me something: either you become a prisoner of their expectations, or they become prisoners of your influence.
Maybe this power game makes sense under capitalism, but I find the whole obsession with followers and numbers deeply sick now.
So I don't care about followers anymore. I just want to have way how to express my opinions, see opinions of my peers and eventually have discussions with people who accept me as I am.

Cannabis prohibition is one of the clearest examples of government overreach. A harmless plant turned into a criminal offense, with millions of lives affected by the state's obsession with control.
