I recently read on another platform a fellow kind of complaining: he had to go out and buy a black suit for a wedding (it had a dress code), they need to go to a destination, get an expensive hotel room, etc. Simply attending the wedding was going to be very expensive and if they bowed out feelings would be unforgiven. Seems horrendously selfish of the bride and groom to me.
