“So anyway a lot of the blame is laid at Hitler’s decision to re-direct Guderian’s 2nd Panzer Group south to reduce the Kiev salient… but in my opinion, this was the perfectly correct choice at the time. If not reduced before the advance on Moscow, the salient threatened the rear of Army Group Center.”
